The CFII certificate allows you to train pilots in instrument flying — one of the most critical skills in aviation. If you're already a Certified Flight Instructor, adding your CFII expands your teaching capabilities, makes you more marketable, and helps you build flight time more efficiently.

At Georgia Pilot School, we’ll equip you with the tools, techniques, and confidence to guide students through the complex world of instrument flight — in both the simulator and the sky.

What You’ll Learn

• Teaching instrument procedures and regulations

• Holding patterns, ILS approaches, and missed approaches

• ATC communication and IFR clearances

• Simulator instruction and scenario-based training

• Helping students develop precision, confidence, and decision-making under IFR

Requirements

• Hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating

  Hold a valid CFI Certificate

  Log required training with a qualified CFII

  Pass the FAA CFII knowledge test (if not previously completed)

  Successfully complete the CFII checkride with a DPE
